Event Rules

Tournament Philosophy: I want everyone to be able to use the models and armies they have paid good money for, dedicated to painting converting, and collecting. With this in mind, i am allowing the use of forgeworld rules, white dwarf rules, special characters, etc. If you are planning on using anything NOT included in a printed army book (foreworld rhinox riders or giant chaos spawn for example), please send an email to straaj04@uwgb.edu letting me know in advance. I will be placing a list of non-standard units or armies that people are considering using on the website so there are no suprises. If using such models/armies, you will be required to provide a FULL copy of the rules to EACH opponent before each game. I also ask that a copy of the rules be emailed to me, so I can provide them to anyone who requests such before the event.

Here is the full list of special units.

Event Rules

Points Limit: Create an army from a current Warhammer Fantasy Battles army book of no more than 2200 points. You will be required to bring an additional 300 points of “Trusted Allies.”  See allies requirements further on.

Painting Requirement: No painting is required to participate in this event. Only those players with a paint score will be eligable to win Best Overall (The Conquerer), Best in Show, or Outstanding Army.

Dogs of War Policy: Dogs of War are considered Neutral Forces for the purposes of allies.  This means that only Ogre Kingdoms and Tomb Kings may select them as “Trusted Allies”.  Other armies may take in their normal 2200 list any Regiments of Renown listed in the PDF for their army.  Regular Dogs of War units MAY NOT be included in non Dogs of War armies.  Regiments of Renown will follow all the rules for alliances (including fragile alliances for dark elves and skaven) found in the Warhammer Rulebook, treated as “Neutral Forces”

Allies: your army must include 300 additional points of “Trusted Allies”.  These 300 points do not count toward or against your main army, so figure percentages at 2200 (25% is 550).  Allies must only come from Core and Special choices, and magic banners or magic items may not be chosen as upgrades.  Any magic equipment the unit comes with is fine however.  If you choose to split the points into multiple units, then only one unit may be a special choice.

*Note: trusted allies MUST come from a different army than the core army being playd.  IE a warriors of chaos army cold not take 50 marauders as allies, but would have to choose another force of destruction as an ally, such as daemons or beastmen.

Model Policy: Any manufacturer’s models may be used to represent your force. These must be readilly identifiable as the unit they are representing, and must follow the WYSIWYG rule outlined below.

What You See Is What You Get (WYSIWYG): models must accuratly portray the unit they represent. at least 60% of the unit should be armed as they are in the list. Unit Fillers are allowed if they match the overall theme of your force. With these guidlines in mind, conversions are encouraged.

Scoring: Battle Points, Objective Points, Sportsmanship, and Appearance will all be scored.  They are ranked as they will be awarded.

The Conquerer (Best Overall, Battle + Objective + Sportsmanship + Appearance)

The Defender (Best Sportsman, Sportsmanship + Objective)

The Slayer (Best Tactician. Battle + Objective + Sportsmanship)

Best in Show (Appearance)

Outstanding Army (Best Appearance for a player who has never won an appearance award, Appearance)

The Cheesehead (Highest Battle Points, Lowest Objective (so figure Objective Points -Battle Points, Lowest Score Wins)
